The family of the late media personality Joseph Tamale Mirundi have today swallowed their pride and met Katikkiro of Buganda seeking reconciliation with the Buganda Kingdom, which had strained relations with the deceased.
During the burial of the late, the family members led by John Ssali begged to meet with the Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, to address the issues caused by Mirundi’s persistent criticisms of the Kingdom and to make it worse the Kingdom had not publicly commented or sent a condolence message following Mirundi’s death, suggesting that the Kingdom might still be upset.
He emphasized the need to resolve these tensions for Mirundi to rest in peace.
While meeting family members some minutes ago, Katikkiro on behalf of Buganda subjects has accepted their cries and warned them not to be carried away by social media likes and do the same mistakes again.
