According to preliminary reports, Byakatonda left their home on March 16, 2025, saying he was going to church, but his body was discovered the next day at around 7:30 am by students on their way to school. The body was found in eucalyptus trees along the Binyuga-Munyere road in Kaaya cell.
When the sniffer dog named Hector was brought to the scene, and it led the police to the deceased's home, where they found an abandoned iron bar with bloodstains in the compound. Further investigation revealed a white mosquito net with bloodstains hidden under a bed.
The police have established that the deceased had misunderstandings with his wife, and inquiries and investigations are ongoing.
